Who are we?

VALAN Consulting is based in Paris, France and provides a large range of project, programme management and business transformation services. We work closely with each client to understand their needs, objectives and the environment in which they operate.  This allows us to tailor our delivery to match each client’s unique needs and expectations.  Consequently, clients can be confident of receiving the highest quality services uniquely adapted to them.

About our founder

Adrian Lappin is the founder and president of VALAN Consulting. He is a graduate of City University.  Furthermore, he has over 25 years of professional experience specifying and delivering telecommunications, IT and public security projects around the world.  He has provided consulting to clients in areas such as project and programme management, contract negotiation, capability development and organisational transformation.

Types of Client

Adrian has worked with private and public companies, telecommunications operators, system and software developers, ministries of interior, police and other national security and safety agencies.  In addition, he has also worked with the organising committees and government departments responsible for the delivery of several high profile major sporting events (Manchester Commonwealth Games, Athens Olympics and the Doha Asian Games).

Project Experience

He played leading roles in a diverse range of projects including:

  • a large scale oracle retail transformation project for a major european DIY retailer.
  • a citywide surveillance/safe city project deploying over 10,000 smart cameras around a capital city.
  • critical infrastructure protection of major onshore and offshore oil and gas installations.
  • the design and development of a national multi-agency agency command centre in the Middle East.
  • various C4i systems modernisation programmes.
  • security and IT infrastructure for major sporting events.
  • telecoms networks and operator services platforms.
